How IQNIVA scoring works
Transparency builds trust. Here’s what our IQ-style score means and how we compute it.
Important: IQNIVA provides an IQ-style estimate (mean 100, SD 15) for fun and training. It is not a clinical assessment.
What we measure
Our tests focus on reasoning task families commonly associated with “fluid” style reasoning: pattern detection, sequences, spatial rotation, and basic logic.
How the IQ-style number is computed (v1)
- Each question has a difficulty (1–5). Higher difficulty has a slightly higher weight.
- Your score is based on weighted accuracy across the questions you answered.
- We convert weighted accuracy to a z-score using a reference band (mean ~0.60, SD ~0.15), then map it to an IQ-style scale: IQ = 100 + 15·z.
- Percentile is derived from a normal model for interpretability.
As we expand, we can improve calibration using larger anonymous aggregates (if enabled) or better difficulty modeling. This build ships with a clear, consistent baseline.
Why weekly retesting
Daily retesting is noisy. Weekly retesting lets you see real improvement from practice and explanation review.
